Vintory Facilitates Sale of Vantage

Vintory secures the sale of Vantage Vacation Rentals after competitive bidding from multiple buyers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vintory’s Mergers and Acquisitions Consultants Group, experts in vacation rental industry negotiation and financial analysis, has successfully brokered the sale of Vantage Resorts Management, LLC in Ocean City, Maryland to Vacasa, a leading vacation rental management platform in North America. In addition to the 300 units and five offices acquired through the deal, Vacasa will also welcome a local operations team and bring a full suite of services including dynamic pricing technology and property care resources to the area’s vacation rental homeowners.

“Many factors went into our ability to secure a better offer than others received by the seller directly,” said Dylan Burgess, Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Vintory. “Our team has our finger on the pulse of merger and acquisition activity in the industry, including which companies have the appetite and budget for a deal like this one. We know what buyer is going to be a good fit, and it’s this knowledge along with our network that enabled us to shop this deal in a competitive bidding situation without listing it publicly and risking confidentiality.”

Vintory worked closely with both parties to ensure a successful transition despite a tight timeline to capitalize on the upcoming busy season. Vantage owner Brad Callahan is confident that the operation, which includes 29 of his own rental properties, is in excellent hands. Vacasa’s purchase of Vantage is a significant investment in the local community in terms of infrastructure and employees.

“I am grateful to Vintory for providing expert guidance and service during the Vantage purchase,” said Brad Callahan, owner of Vantage. “Dylan and the Vintory team listened to my concerns about the legacy of the business and how the sale would affect the Vantage team and homeowners. With these priorities top of mind, Vintory was able to find a buyer who was invested in upholding my values, while garnishing a strong purchase price and concessions for liabilities. When it came time to transition, Vacasa worked diligently with employees, owners, and community leaders to retain the relationships we’ve developed over the last 14 years.”
